Kim Chapman

Kim has been working at Beads 'n Other Needs for over 20 years. Her passion is bead weaving at which she's excelled. She is known as "The Queen of Color." The color combinations she puts together are always eye-catching.

She has been helping customers for years on an informal basis but is now branching out to teach many beginning level projects to help others get bitten by the beading bug.

Mabeline Gidez

Mabeline has been creating and teaching her jewelry designs for over 11 years now. She has also been teaching at the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee, WI for three years now as well.

In addition to teaching her bead weaving designs at stores and shows, she has also demonstrated her techniques on the now syndicated TV show, "The Carol Duvall Show." Her work was also worn on ABC's "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette."

Inspired by textile patterns, nature and diverse genres of music, Mabeline uses these stimuli to create pieces exuding both visual balance and harmony. Her art, reflecting both her interior and exterior worlds, speaks for itself.

Cathy Hake

A Santa Clarita resident for 24 years and married to her husband, Randall for 25 years, Cathy Hake has been a crafter since childhood and a beader for 12 years. Having tried nearly every type of craft (knitting, crocheting, sewing, drawing, stained glass, and calligraphy among these), she settled on beading, knitting and occasional hand sewing as her main crafting interests.

She teaches wire wrapping and other wire classes as well as various projects involving peyote stitch, square stitch, Russian stitches and herringbone stitch. She aims to give all students a positive experience in class and loves working with "newbies," watching their faces light up as they begin to understand a concept or technique.

Her motto is "beading should be fun; if it isn't fun, why do it?"

Carol Lynn

Carol Lynn has been working at Beads 'n Other Needs for over eight years. Her creativity has grown along with her love of beads. She is the inspiration for many of our unique and fashionable jewelry and home accessories.

She's designed many pieces of jewelry for the hit TV shows, "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance" - some of which are currently touring the country.
